    The Auxiliary Council operates as a Council of the Home Builders Association of West Florida, Inc., affiliated with the Florida Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders.

    Through the mutual support, assistance and promotion of the organizational objectives and Code of Ethics of the Home Builders Association of West Florida (HBAWF), the mission of the Auxiliary Council is to:

    • To promote and enhance the Association’s image by raising funds to donate to worthy causes that demonstrate the industry’s humanity to the community.
    • To provide networking opportunities for meaningful interaction between builders and associates.
    • To provide education, training, and skill building opportunities for members within the Association and Community at large.
    • To support the HBA in their core purpose of strengthening the home building industry and to maintain a profitable and growth-filled business environment.

    Auxiliary Council Events:

    Annual Planning Session: Typically takes place in January to plan for the coming year’s goals and objectives.

    Monthly Meetings: A rotation of meetings take place throughout the year. Board of Directors meet on an as needed basis. The Auxiliary Council Membership meeting are held 6 times a year.

    Membership Kick off Drive: This event takes place twice a year, May and November. With the guidance of the Membership Chair.

    Annual Scholarship Program: The Home Builders Association of West Florida supports the next generation of construction professionals through sponsorship of the Green Construction Trades Academy at Pine Forest High School and a continuing education scholarship program. The HBA Auxiliary Council manages the scholarship program, which is funded by donations from members of the Home Builders Association.

    The HBA Green Trades Scholarship Program enables students from any Northwest Florida vocational program to continue their education; receiving valuable vocational certificates that will help them launch a successful construction career.

    Each $1000 scholarship can be applied towards the students vocation choice from the following programs:

    Carpentry | Electricity | HVAC | Plumbing | Welding

    Membership is on an annual basis. Single member rate is $75 per year.
    You must be the owner or employee of an active HBA member to join.
