Old Paint, New Rules - Lead Based Paint TrainingContractors, subcontractors, service departments and their employees who perform renovation, repair and painting in residential dwellings or child occupied facilities constructed prior to 1978 are affected by the EPA’s new Renovation, Repair and Painting Program (RRP) Program. Under this rule, all contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb any paint in a dwelling, child care facility or school built before 1978 must be certified by the EPA by April 2010.
